Pitchcombe Coffee Morning

Tues 8th Dec. 10.30am

Coffee and Carols

Speaker – Song Collector  Gwilym Davies

Before WWI you could define where someone came from by the Christmas Carols they sang. We did not have a standard set of carols, but a huge variety, some widespread, and others known only in one village or even one family.

Gwilym Davies is a song collector living in Winchcombe and has made a special study of village carols from Gloucestershire, some of which became very famous indeed.

Coffee Mornings are an open get together for the village.

Coffee, cake, social, occasional speaker

10.30am  Second Tuesday of the Month

These meetings are now being held on-line.  Just like when we held them in the church, except you have to make your own coffee and cake.

You can participate on your PC, laptop, tablet, iPad or smartphone.
